tried to start new motor/ nothing happens

ok, now i think you are right about the starter being bad, i just bench started them both and the one that was in the ski does not work and the other one does. i think i must have a bad solenoid also and that is why nothing happened when i switched the starters. i never did try arcing the solenoid with the other starter. i will try that tomorrow, gotta run off to work now. thanks again for your help guys.

I would try both of those starters on a bench with some jumper cables then.

Something fishy goin on here.
