Installed the impeller and reassembled the pump today.
I noticed the ski backfiring a lot which it hadn't done before and was pretty easily remedied with new plugs. I am however getting a new, strange low-end bog. It seems like the ski isn't getting enough fuel punching it from idle.
I'm now a little confused if it's a) a piece of crap lodged in the low pilot jet, b) a piece of crap in the fuel selector switch, c) time for a new fuel filter, or d) jetted too low. So I have some troubleshooting to do. I can feather the throttle to launch into the high RPMs but the ski will die if I hammer the throttle from idle.
I cutback each plugwire and replaced the terminals and the boots with YamaCat's awesome MSD boot kit and finally got some really good grips installed.
