Transplanting a 62t waveraider 701 into a Superjet hull

I have a '94 Waveraider 701 and am looking to pick up a sn Superjet hull soon. I need to know what it is going to take to transplant the motor into the Superjet hull. The 701 is stock except for a primer kit and oil blockoff and the motor is in perfect shape.

So far i figure i will need a stock or aftermarket superjet exhaust. Not sure if the electronics can be mounted in the Superjet hull or not. Dont know about driveshaft lengths between the hulls. I think the pumps are the same except the raider has trim. i know i will need a new impeller as well.

Help me out guys, what else needs to be done?

you can use the stock impeller. it might be just a bit steep but you should be okay.

need a:

midshaft
driveshaft
motor mounts
longer positive and negative cables

Not sure what else, but that's what i noticed when i just stripped a raider for a superjet donor motor the other day.

The raider midshaft housing is good for a Blaster or 94-up SJ though just not the shaft.

hey thanks for the quick reply! ill get a new impeller as soon as i can since i think the stock raider prop is 17/21 or something like that.

the raider motor mounts are different from the superjets then? the best place to find these parts would be the classifieds here im guessing?

Making it work is just a matter of bolting it in place. Making it work well requires more attention to detail. First, your new engine needs to be in good shape before any mods are done. The key to making a 62T cylinder run really good is in the pipe and prop. It wont make any power with a stock SJ pipe and it will be a total dog with too much prop load. They run very well with any good limited pipe and a low pitch prop. A repitched freestyle prop is usually required for best performance.

the 701 is still in my raider and it is in mint condition. very strong motor. i definitely want a factory pipe on this in the future, but a stock superjet exhaust will work in the meantime right? i figure i can find a cheap stock exhaust pretty easily and get it up and running easier. i just want to get the ski together first then mod it later.

Your mounts should be fine actually but the driveshaft will be too long. The best guy to talk to is Jetmaniac, he has every part you will need at a more than fair price and will know more accurately what will fit and what won't.
