Trailer Wiring Question??

I need to get my trailer lights functional........I have gotten away without operational lights for far too long!

What is needed on the vehicle side for wiring?? I have a Lexus SC400.


can I just splice a plug into my taillights or do I need to get a converter that hooks up too the battery??

Just splice them like you usually do. Every spark plug wire from your Lexus can be easily spliced to each of your trailer lights.

The SC400 is a V8 which has a 300K + mile motor and tranny! It tows my ski's without skiping a beat!

I have even towed my buddies big ski boat with my SC400.........its almost like the car was made to be towed with!

I think I will just splice my sparkpluggs into my tailights......thanks for the help!

Don't forget you use a fresh muffler bearing too.

While you're at it, it's good practice to tighten up your powerband.

They get loose over time and need to be tightened on a regular bases or you'll lose some HP.

and use a left handed wrench/screwdriver on the left side of the car and a right handed one for the right. otherwise you will strip the heads.:clown:

You may need the CHANGE it. Depends on how dirty it is.

It doesnt make sense for me to buy a truck and have two automobiles when the SC400 has a V8 and tows with ease!!

My car tows 10x better than my buddies trucks with 4 or 6 cylinder motors!!
