Trailer question

Go to a metal fab shop and have them make you a post that you can bolt to your frame with U Bolts or have them weld one in place.

Not a bad idea. My buddy is a welder too.

Just thought maybe someone had a quick, cheap source.

The frame is 3 inches by 3 inches

Listen to Big Kahuna, metal fab shop is your best bet and will be cheaper than ordering anything pre-made anyway. I needed to convert a single place trailer to haul a superjet and blaster. The steel tubing and welding cost me $50 (small local place is your best bet), then just spray paint to match the trailer.image2.JPG image1.JPG

Update: My welder buddy ended up coming over and doing it for free. Looks great and thanks for the advice.

FWIW, you can buy the brackets online and U bolt them on. About 50 bucks.

Curious how you attached the carpet to the tubing?

Was thinking of using some spray adhesive but I'm concerned it will come off over time.

Also, nice work on the full carpet job. LOL!

Edit: Now that I look at it again, it looks like you only carpeted the gas rack which may be made of 2x4's. Never mind... I use staples for the bunks.

Correct, anything carpeted is just 2x4's. What a pain in the a** making the gas can rack was.
