Be real easy on the hull

I think 3 10" keels would be easier to mount and much better on holding the wait and no bearings to seize.

Thinking about trying these. I saw them on a new 2015 pontoon trailer the other day. They are a slightly soft plastic material. They just slip over the 2x4 and have the little end cap thingy's.. No cutting and stapling carpet, etc. Easy and done! Well, they might be stapled or attached somehow on the bottom... Called "bunk wraps"

I wish that I read this thread a week earlier. I ordered the 10" keel guard. The bunks with a second layer of that grey indoor/outdoor carpet from HD have been working. I made a pvc stand for the water, so I go trailer to carpeted pcv. It's a pain, but better than me focusing on a scratch that the human eye can barely detect.

I ended up using two layers of carpet and a 10" keel guard. I raised the back of the bunks about 1/2" with folded towel strips and screwed in the sides to the bunk. This helped so the nozzle didn't rest on keel guard. Then I notched out the keel guard where the nozzle nut comes down. You guys were right, if the front bumper is in the right place the ride plate locks the ski in perfectly.
