towing a blaster and superjet in the water?

So I had a question about towing my blaster and superjet in the water behind my boat.

When I owned my XP and had to tow it behind the boat I had to pinch off one of the cooling lines that came from the pump to prevent water from entering the motor.

Do I need to pinch off any of the lines on a blaster and superjet when I tow it behind my boat? It definitely won't be a slow idle. I'm probably looking at 10mph so water would definitely be running through the pump.

Thanks

You won't be towing the Superjet at more than idle, unless it's backwards - it'll sub and pull under.
Other than that, I guess just pinch off the cooling line going into the bottom of the exhaust manifold.

yeah i figured the superjet would do that. i'm trying to design some sort of harness system that will keep it from subing and allow you to pull the ski's at a faster speed without fear of the ski's running into the back of the boat when slowing down

You have to strap some weights in the tray to tow a SJ. Keeps the nose up..

They do make a solid tether for towing behind a boat that keeps your ski in one place. I'm not sure who makes them, but i remember a post on PWCT about it ans saw some pics a few years back..

a SJ will tow very easily with a 2' rope. to keep it from slamming the rear of the boat when you slow down, maybe a foam noodle around the rope.
