I've been told:
1.) Lots of grease
2.) Solder connections, dab grease on em, and heat shrink over that

dielectric grease all connections
i use glue linned heatshrink on all joins
glue hydro turf to the mounting plate smooth side out smear dielectric grease around the back of the brain and across the dip switchs then pull up firm against the furf to stop any water from getting in there
some place orings around the top of the plugs but i have not had the need i ride salt 100% of the time
and the main one wash down at the end with fresh water and leave your hood of i have never had an issue
