Total Loss Flywheel Magnet Placement

Has anyone ever ran one of these or know anything about them? It weighs in a 1.2 lbs and looks like a very nice piece. Says Yam on the back. I'd like to make it compatible with my MSD dual channel but I realize they only have a single pick up. I think if I put both pickups on one plate, it could work? I ordered a MSD flywheel anyways but just wanted some input. They're cool pieces but I couldn't find anything about them. Luckily, the seller hooked me on them.

Those were designed to be used with the old single channel MDS Analog TL. They could be made to work with the pro digital. I never played with these, as I used the RAD flywheel / adjustable mag cover instead.
The Vilder offers similar adjustability if you machine and mount the external pick up on a oem mag cover.

Before you get too far into this, TBM has just released their MSD TL flywheel for the pro digital
$499.99 is list Might be more cost effective for you?

I have the CDI that goes with that blue vilder. And I may have at least one cover with the same pickup pc.
My vilder total loss flywheels did not have the holes drilled.

Bumping this thread with a new question, I think the easiest way to run this flywheel will be for me to install an MSD 4309 magnet in it. I found these directions online, I'm going to have a local machine shop install the magnet.

I'm wondering if anyone has a template or has directions for the placement that it specifies on a standard aluminum flywheel?

I realize I will need to set timing and ensure the air gap is within spec but I think this is easier than modifying the front cover, which is still an option as I have installed both pickups on one plate... but I ordered the magnets so I'm trying to go that route. This is instead of guessing at air gap with the Vilder magnetic pickup and removing the pickup from the flywheel.

Why not order a new TBM or MSD flywheel?.... well this one weighs 1.20 lbs and I have two of them!

Motorhead, you have a Vilder TL? That is and still is the best TL system ever! Vilder didn't put holes in his flywheels because he did not want them to crack like every
single one with holes will but if you understand that is will break then sure.

How about buy a zeeltronic PCls-01T , get a complete 760 igniiton setup. Remove the magnets and the small lump of the flywheel. The zeeltronic will plug in if you buy it and tell him you want it for a Yamaha jetski. Add one switched power wire. Email me for the setup file and install it and wow reliable and cheap total loss

I have a complete dual channel total loss system, minus the flywheel. So I bought both of these flywheels for $100 and they’re lighter than MSD lightened or any other total loss flywheel that I’ve seen. Having been in school for the last four years, budget was a big priority. I’m just trying to make these flywheels work... I took it to the machine shop this week to have the hole drilled directly above the key way after lining it up with the pickup plate and observing photos to ensure it was correct. Hopefully with a timing degree wheel and timing light it will set up correctly.

Luckily I have a second one if this one cracks but I think the holes look like a factory finish, not a machine shop job but I don’t know Vilder on a personal basis and it sounds like you do.
