Top speed

Well bent a rod on the 5mm Lamey screamer Jason built. My fault.

Getting it rebuilt; I want to see how fast it can go (FX-1 hull, stock superjet 144mm pump). Gonna try a concord 15/20 (was running 14/18 concord that got up to 62mph this winter...) I just want a crazy top speed for bragging rights :)

It'll be approx. a month b4 it's ready to ride. I should 'man up' and replace scoop intake with the stock one for speed. I prob'ly won't though. I bet we'll get better than 65 without any wrenching.

We'll see (and hopefully not fall going over 50; that hurts).

Running stock glass on the ski; JH special pump shoe and some 5200 to seal it up good :)

I dunno about the "mystery pitch", but @ 60ish ******** gets REALLY squirrely when you let off the gas :)

No Square..No Round..FX-1
That's cool info about the stock pump intake area. The SJ intake on my boat rules in the surf at lower speeds but becomes "overloaded" at flat water speed runs. The rear of the ski lifts up and tosses you off. (when you let off the gas). It's fun at 50+ mph into >40 degree water....Can you say yard sale? Fine tuning in progress.
BTW, I'm running a stock stroke Lamey W/144mm Mag 1" setback pump. 13/18 swirl.
