top deck removal??...

it 'is' possible, but it is a LOT of work to get the top deck off of the hull and have them both be undamaged. its not impossible, just VERY difficult.

just get a sexy new watercraft factory top deck. im sure he'll even throw in some epoxy glue to put it together w/

brraap....thats so 2002
you would have to chip away all the green glue and really take your time at the bond line and around the bulkhead...personally after removing a top deck that i destoyed i dont think i would want to try to do it and save the top. what is the reason for the removal? as far as putting it back together i used west systems.

it doesnt sound like an easy job to change the top deck....or is it?
and over here in the UK i have to have a stock top deck to compete i think....

Replacing top deck

To attach the top deck you could use 3M 5200 adhesive caulk.
You can also use epoxy resin like West Systems with a milled fiber mixed in for thickening.
It is also possible to get the green adhesive used by seadoo, but it requires a large gun to use, and their minimum order is was $400 the last time I got it, for just the 2-part glue tubes. The gun is crazy, too.

Dan the only way to bond a hull together is with a Methacrylate structural adhesive. This is what Yamaha and Kawasaki use.
As for taking it apart don't do it.
