I have seen the trailer thing.
A couple buys a brand new 22ft bowrider with 150 V6 yammy. Pick it up sat morning.
Monday morning they call the dealer and irately complain about its lack of performance. Dealer apologises and asks to bring the rig in and they will sort it out straight away.
Head tech. checks engine, prop selection, engine height, controls etc. then takes it to the water. It runs killer! Call owner and ask him to pick up his boat.
Next saturday morning same thing, irate owner on phone. Dealer sends two techs to the beach with tools, props etc. where irate owner is waiting. Techs notice a winch post sticking out of the water and a hitch on the beach.
Problem solved!
I live in a city where many people who own waterfront property and have their own private boat ramps. Most of these ramps have no road access so when you sell them a boat or couch, the go is to tie the trailer under the vessel and slowly motor from the nearest ramp to their house. They then use the trailer as a ramp dolly with an electric winch. I have had many a comment from people along the lines of, "hey mate, the trailer is still attached!" I usually reply, " this is an anphibious seadoo, first one in the country!" or " thanks bud!, (pointing into the water over the bow) can you see my car?"
