Surfriding To Kick Wedge or Not to Kick Wedge?

Kick wedge or the opposite(sand the rear of the pad at a down angle)? Turfing the bottom of the tray on my ski today and couldn't find any info on this topic. RN w/tom21's footholds. Any input is appreciated

I personally wouldn't do a wedge with footholds

I initially thought I wouldn't like a wedge but I have come to really like it. It doesn't get in the way like I thought it would and I feel like it helps me get my weight forward on the ski a little easier. Go for it. If you don't like it, get rid of it.

I liked the one I had it my Kawi, but I mostly ran buoys. I don't think I'd want one in a FS set up.
