if you spend $2000.00 on a Lamey you could save the $100.00 on Girdal head, you wont need w/ Lamey its not gonna crack. How about just going Billett ADA bigbore? For $2200.00 they throw in a girdle head.

Hey Nikad?

Did you really JB weld that cracked cylinder?

will it be ok with a Girdled head after that?

ive got one that is cracked as well, not that bad even, and I wanted to do that.

but feared it would get worse.

Did you stop drill the crackes or anything?

got photos of the repair?

dont do it, dude! get it welded..... using the proper technique, which is having the cylinder sandwiched between the gridul head and cases and torqued properly. i would think drilling either ends of the crack wouldnt be a bad idea. then weld it, but just a second or 2 at a time, then mist it down then hit it with a wet rag to let it get touchable. while its time consuming, it keeps the cylinder from distorting from excessive heat in a concentrated area.

JB weld will work in a bind but i doubt itll last any signifigant amount of time on the engine.

lol i missed that.. I was only kidding about the JB weld.. To me that crack is way to big to weld without having to do alot of mechine work after.. poof, in the trash
