i just got a line on 2 94 meter rolls of carbon fiber and about 60 meters of kevlar. ive bean doin some work on this guys house and all the sudden he magically has no money to pay my final draw, but i found this carbon in his garage... i dont know much about carbon and the guy who has it knows even less. here is a pic on one of the rolls. is it good carbon? hull quality? whats it worth? any info would be appreciated. does that tag tell you anything?

minimal info. 2x2 twill is good. Would need to know the OZ. weight to know for sure. It will definately work for hulls but reinforcing hulls is not rocket science. Most guys making hulls have a particular quality and OZ weight they like to use but this can definately be used in its place.

94 meters is a SHIOT LOAD of carbon. What is the width? 36" or 52". How much for say 5 yards LOL.

how does homeboy have 102 yards of carbon which if its 60 ayard is 6K just layin around? and he knows nothing about it?

seems very sketchy dude. but whatevs, you can be straight up and have a sale and make some money( maybe ) or you can be a swindler and low ball him. and make out like a bandit. its your conscience. Maybe get it at a discount to make up for the hassle of having to unload it to get your money back. you may not sell much and then you have no cashola. I will buy some depending on the weight and of course price. :pancake:

I would not be paying $60 per yard unless it was an incredibly HIGH quality. I can get 22oz 2x2 twill all day under $40 per yard.

The Carbon Kevlar (if in a desired color) I would say its worth more.

If it is yellow and black I need some. Hook me up.

210 gsm is the weight, looks like you guys finally went metric :) its 210 gramms per square metre and would be aprox .2mm thick.

it is interesting that you would have that much of something that specific laying around and not know what it is. i'd still be all over it though.
dudes family owns a public storage place. the carbon was in one of the storage units that someone didnt pay up on.
