I found the best way to remove the decals from my 96 hood and not worry about destroying the paint.
Suck it up! The paint is coming off so if you want the decal off, just accept the paint is coming with.
I got a guy lined up to repaint it already. He does a lot of fiberglass work on Big rig fiberglass hoods and such so i figure he knows how to make paint stick to glass. I was just wondering if he needs to know anything special about the SMC used on these hoods. Obviously there is a small issue with release agent still being present on the smc?
