Freestyle Thrust Trim Setup

Does anyone have any instructions for setting up a thrust trim?

I have just changes my lever from a single finger FRI to a Thrust lever.

Should the nozzle be hotting top stop point or just under when pulled and bottom point when not?

Thanks

Selling the FRI lever? Why the switch? I know with my RRP I don't get anywhere near full trim. If i put my old lever back on I gain a lot more.

At rest the nozzel should be on the bottom stop with a little slack in cable. When pulled throw will stop before hitting the top stop

Thanks, Mine still has close to an inch of tilt left even when pulled.

Mines the origional EZ pull, last year I measured trim angle with nozzles off, about 22 deg before nozzles contact each other up top...

Like yours with lever pulled I could still lift the nozzle maybe an inch... so maybe 15 deg of trim

I ground the nozzles contact points up top that limited it to 22 deg, until I got to 27 deg... Put it back together and took all the slack out of the cable so the steering nozzle was very slightly up off the bottom stop. Light hand pressure on steering nozzles to make it contact. I put a zip tie around the 2 cables between the wheel and cable ends to take up slack when tail landing, "cable would come off the wheel" at times..

Adjusted like this I got nearly all the trim, tiny bit left so maybe 25 deg

This year my 4 year old cable started to break at the crimped on threaded end, 3 strands broke...,

Glad you got the system figured out. I just recently installed my "pro" system and i"m extremely happy with it. With the initial setup the lever was about 1cm from the grips at full pull, are you guys setting the system up to bottom out on the grips at full trim?

I'm using uncut RRP riser bars with the Thrust lever and i'm forced to slide my grips off the bars about 1/2" to fit the OE Stop/Start switch on the bars. Looks like i may have to pickup some bar extension.

Had the ski out in the water once since install and i'm extremely happy with how it operates. Super solid, super smooth.
