Freestyle Thrust Trim pulling up crooked

When My bars are straight the nozzle is straight this is with trim in resting position. When I pull the trim it puts the nozzle on a angle.

Here are some pictures
Normal bars straight nozzle straight

Trim pulled bars straight nozzle crooked

This is how the steering linkage is set up in this position it pulls crooked

With it flipped like this it pulls straight But the linkage hit the pump and is slightly bent.

Anyone have a solution to this?

You may have to pull the alignment pins out too, its an easy switch if you have dual cooling, with single cooling you may have to relocate your lines or tap an additional outlet higher up on the stator and block off the old one. (probably better to just go dual cooling)

its cause your steer cable is hitting the water pickup fitting on pump.

Youll need to add an extension so the cable sits lower or add an extension to the nozzle so the cable will bolt on further out.

I had simular issue with my foot rocket but once you go mag pump the water fitting on pump doesnt interfere

Mounting it on the bottom of the nozzle makes it turn when you pull the trim. Extending it down further will only make it worse. Can't you grind that corner down some on the stator?

you are the reason
Zimmy is right, dual cooling makes it an easy fix. Some stator sections have the fitting directly in the middle some up an inch. Depends what it came from.

i'm pretty sure its because of where the steering cable comes thru the hull, its too low. if the steering cable was higher, it wont pull crooked.as the steering arm moves up, it pulls the nozzle over. all my AM hulls that have a low cable, pull crooked. you cant let it hit the pump either, but thats not the problem. pulling crooked has never been a problem for me and i dont even notice it.

Its all to do with the geometry at the nozzle end. If steering cable pulls at centreline of nozzle it will pull straight. If it is higher or lower it will pull at an angle. Rotate stator section 180 degrees and there should be sufficient room for cable to align with centreline of steering nozzle
