Throttle cable

Is there much difference in quality between WSM and Yamaha OEM throttle cables?

And my pole appears to be about 4" shorter on my '03 SJ. Any problems with a stock length throttle cable?

Quality and price are much higher with Oem. Plenty of room for You to route a stock leng cable.
