did it randomly break or something else cause it?

years ago when i swamped my 'ski, one broke when trying to get it started again and not quite all the water was out... (fiberglass reed)

that busted reed has nothing to do with the crank being bad. the crank went and broke the reed not the other way around. i have sucked a few stock reeds and never damaged anything. still sucks but that crank was ready to go in the 1st place.

you've sucked metal reeds through and not damaged anything?

im impressed.

Reed caused the crank, no doubt about that. I MIGHT have ingested water a time or two.....

Nice try smoofdizzle but you know as well as I that Ass Ski has been down for other reasons too!

Now the decision on which route to go....Roo, no influence please!!! I know what you're gonna say and my credit card nor my divorce attorney can handle it right now. I have been on the fence though...that SS846 in Havasu is awful hard to forget.

naaah reed goes right up and out. may tear up a piston. not a crank. but anything is possable.

i did it more then once.i had one that the reed got stuck on the transfer port!!!it was in there for a year. lol

Sorry about you luck.

I have a 62T that came out of a Raider. Put cylinder and head on and go. The KN air comes with it but the coupler does not. I know the guy who bought the ski new the motor came out of and it was well taken of. Always keep inside. $475 plus shipping.

I'm pretty sure this one has carbon reeds :)...
