This is it !!

i found a used jet ski for sale in my area.
I dont know to much info on it other then:

its rarely been used for 2 seasons and its pretty much brand new.
Reason why he is selling:
He bought this ski and loved the sport so he right away got a Carbon Hull and is building a lighter and better ski , cuz he says the one he is selling me is quite heavy.

Its a stand up KAWASAKI 2006 i think its SX (SX is the only stand up kawasaki has right?)
He added a new pump i think ?
And has a cover and a trailer..

Dont know how much he is asking for all this but his freind said he would probly sell it for 6.000$ Canadain. (Again not to sure.)

But it seems like a good deal to me, i'll be talking with him next week to find out more.

Seems like a good deal to you guys ?
Also when looking at a used ski , what are some things i should look at ?
i have never been on a ski befor , should i ask for a test drive ?

thanks.

6,000 for a 06 SXR is about right up here north of the border...although they can be had for much cheaper if you are willing to drive across the border. Not much involved to import it into canada either, done it several times myself. Typically you should be able to pick someting up from $3500 to $$5000US++ depending on mods and year. If it was me I would pass on that deal and go for a road trip. There was a guy in buffalo that had a pimped out sxr forsale not to long ago, could dig it up if you are interested.

On a side note...if your looking for a ski, I am going to have a mint SN superjet with a 62t/61x motor forsale in the not so distant future. Pm me if you want details.

Nice !
Thanks , im first gana check exacly how much he is gana be selling all this.

Also im in ontario, were is the best place to look for insurance and boating licence?

Also how much maintenanceing is there to do on a ski ?
( is it durable or fairly fragile? )

I wouldn't bother with insurance...it's not needed to ride like a car is...it would only be for theft, fire, etc...just make sure you have a safe place to store it.

Try this site for the boating test... ttp://www.boaterexam.com/canada/?gclid=COjpwfSxxpACFUtyOAodECewXg

Skis require some level of maintenance...it really depends on what type of mods you have as to how much is required. Typically if tuned right they will require very little. Also depends on how hard you ride it.

No need for insurance in my neck of Ontario neither. I also suggest looking at the US for a cheap ski. Just make sure you have registrations and a bill of sale and you'll be good to go at the borders. People ask toooooo much for skis around here.

No insurance needed. I'd only get it for liability, you never know, you loan your ski to a buddy and he runs over someone on hurts himself.

I'd take JetX's Squarenose, you will not find a ski closer to you for less money that is better. Its a no brainer really.
