What ever happend to natural selection? The strong survive and the week parrish. Granted it is tragic when stuff like this happens but we cant be expected to protect everyone all the time. That is why there are "SWIM AT OWN RISK" signs up.

I think it comes down to common sense. If you can't swim don't go into the water above you waste. If you can swim but not well don't go in above you chest. If you are a good swimmer use your head. If you are a parent don't let your kids swim when you are not there.

we have lifeguards on duty and they post dangers and risks already... I don't by any means think that it's their responsibility though... It's my responsibility to know what my linits are, not the goverment....

People are just lazy, sorry pieces of crap and want to point their 'blaming' finger elsewhere. That lady was not watching her son, and either he did not listen to her or she did not tell him about the ocean.
Why don't people pay attention to their kids? If there is a lifeguard on duty, parents think they can just go to sleep and let the lifeguard babysit their rotten kid. :bs2: Parents, watch your own stinkin kids and teach them responsibility!!! :banghead:
