I'd like to gauge your interest in something...
I think it would be really fun to edit together a video of 2015's biggest Jet Ski crashes, flops, fractures, bailouts, failures, and carnage. Does somebody already do this? If not, I am willing (and excited) to create a film comprised of donated footage and post it up on YouTube for everyone to see. Everyone who donates usable footage will receive a downloadable copy of the final film once it is complete.
If you want to donate footage, you can make it available via download (dropbox, sharefile, google drive, etc.) or you can mail it to me on a USB drive for flash memory. I'll return your media to you once I've copied it. I only want footage from 2015. Sorry, but I'm not going to accept standard definition or analog media. Please PM me for details. If possible, send me just the relevant footage or note where in your footage the best accidents happen (ex. "Fast forward to 2 mins 44 second to see me bail out 17' feet in the air off a 8' wave.")
In the final film, I'll provide on screen credit- your choice of X-H20 username, nickname, or your real name if you want. It would also be helpful if you provide the location where you were riding. I'm willing to accept still images as well, and/or digital photos/footage of the aftermath.
I'm not looking to make any money off of this project, nor am I interested in profiteering from your footage. This is not a project that I'm going to submit to film festivals, etc. nor am I going This is an amateur project, and the only reason why I'm doing it is because I think it would look really cool.
My plan is to collect footage through the first two weeks of January, and start the editing process during the third week of January. Though I don't work in the industry, I am professionally trained having received a BS in Film and Television Production from Boston University.
