The reason for dual cooling

I had the same thing happen years ago and almost cooked a brand new motor on the maiden voyage, I just kept waiting for the pissers and nothing happened. Sand had calcified in the fittings just like Pete's.

I run a TDR fine mesh filter on just the B pipe cooling line coming off the head. When riding really shallow (Daytona) beach breaks it can get filled w/sand in a couple of sessions, 1 session if it's really breaking shallow. Still, it's much easier to clean than b pipe orifices.:cool2:
