I like to run my mouth.
right, exactly like i said. and those seem to be the people who talk the most bs and hate on everything.
i hate the people who cant/dont race, cant/dont freestyle, cant/dont freeride, but wanna run their stupid mouths all day on the internet bagging on the guys who do. i dont think so. :bs2:

On topic: I'm liking this thread, as well. Regardless of being "just" a spectator and rec rider, I too like to see the freestyle/freeride movement going where it is. I like the idea of "Unlimited" for the Pros and "Limited" in terms of both motor and hull for the Ams.
point taken....
that was my thinking
i agree with Jr on that one slut.
its like racing.. show up to a race that has too many classes and youll understand.. 12-14 stock, 12-14 stock with stickers and hood kit, 12-14 stock with stickers-hood kit and footholds, 12-14 footholds and bpipe, 12-14 MSD Open, 12-14 ... you get the point..

if it was set up like this, people would feel more like they have a chance. There would be a place for smooth consistant type of riding that so many people like to see... Not just some superhuman w/ a $40,000 ski whoopin up on everyone. (not that there is anything wrong w/ that)
Maybe it's time to break Amateur into Novice and Expert after all of these years. Limit novice to basic mods like a head, pipe, prop, and grate. Let Experts run under the current Amateur rules, and make it anything goes for Pro.
The problem I see with this is that there isn't enough participation to fill the Amateur class today. That might change if novice-level riders didn't have to go up against the big-money setups in Amateur, but who knows?
problem is, you are not going to see much of that at the Amature level.......... yes, the sport has changed............. Nedra and I talked at length in Nashville about this.............we both like the idea of having 2 stages of competition.........
1. Compulsary - you have 2 minutes to perform several standard tricks, maybe pic 8 out of 14 possible or something along those lines........
2. Freeride - Go Big, Go Stylin or whatever you can do........... But each trick would have a degree of difficulty.......... you may pull 3 backflips and 2 rolls and get beat buy the guy that cranked out 15 flawless tricks and not one of them was a flat water back flip..................
and the winner is based on the combination of both runs........
I like to run my mouth.
Sorry Saki....but that just sounds GAY:bigeyes:down the side of my leg
This is a great thread. I have been calling several promotors I know & refering them to it.............. keep it up & keep it civil
ski ya, Paul
Aftermarket Hull may be use, but the Top Deck must be OEM..
