this is my first build thread so i got a jump start before starting the thread. I picked up an '05 rn from member skyler up in NY. we met up at the brig freeride and pulled his parts on the beach. I was less than easy to deal with thru the whole process of buying the hull and he was very much the opposite. I have nothing bad to say about him, he answered all of my questions and was totally reasonable to work with. The hull he shortened 3 inches, reinforced and installed a scupper to. painted black and green and named Pearl.

I have slowly been cleaning some wear and tear and rebuilding my motor. its gonna be a 62t non ported case with oem 38s and a lightly ported 61x cyl i picked up that needed some love, with two broken ex studs and malled up ex threads. i drilled and taped it to take 62t hardware and bored 2 over to 83mm. with wiseco pistions and ada girdled head with 35cc domes. havnt checked compression yet...im not there yet.

the hood (24-7 "prototype"/practice) needed the most lovin with the liner popping out and some bubbles from the layup that needed to be filled, so i cleaned out all the damaged glass, layed in new and went to sanding. the pole is a umi rn pole with bearing -1plate and 0*bars that i traded some oem parts and labor for.

it is all ready for paint and heres where i want some feed back. i want to go with house of kolor chartreuse neon on the hood, and pole and nose piece get i was thinking red neon? i havnt seen any of this color series in person except for the chartreuse and its wild.

I believe those colors have a tendency to fade in the sun... As long as you're ok with that I totally dig it.

That's exactly the color i was going to do on my freak, but decided to leave it silver after much thought...

mainly b/c I dont want to put all the hours in to paint and prep...I love that color though

HOK will tell it will fade and fade quickly...

done!! i went with chartreouse neon on the hood and orange neon for the pole and nose piece. these colors are really bright i hope they last longer than anticipated.

for the first ride it hit really well, i was expecting it to be alittle out of tune but it felt pretty on point. does this mean that my initial tuning at stb was too lean? im gonna ride it more over the weekend to try and break it in and see what color i get on the plugs. when i tore the motor down they were on the darker side and piston wash was about 3/4 of the piston top. how do i post photos from my phone?
