The future of freestyle, freeride

Aerial tricks aren't going anywhere. The level of talent at lake dias flatwater event this year was insane. Multiple riders doing no handed rolls., 50/50's, no hand one foot rolls, double backflips. Superman rolls during a combo! Some riders can do double rolls. Backflips while riding the hood. If you don't think flatwater freestyle is progressing I think you're a little nutty. What would be nice is if we could find a way to make it more affordable for everyone. Not holding my breath on that one.

That x1 electric ski was a dog. A stock 550 could walk all over it. Nikola smashed that idea to make crappy sitdowns for lake Tahoe anyway. Maybe some kind of gear reduction like the Tesla motor could help. Or a heavy flywheel and clutch system so it could spool up and we could "pop the clutch!". I've also thought about how a hydrofoil could be incorporated. Something like current E-foil boards but with a handle pole.

Agree! "Flatwater Friday" was on another level at Daytona this year! What a show....

This is true. Its mainly the few freestyle videos I click on... so i'm just talking out the backside

I do think that electric motors are the future for this sport eventually... I would personally really enjoy ripping my ski with little to no drivetrain noise. Just the sound of the water getting slashed. There has got to eventually be an electric conversion for the Superjet

Don’t forget to bring your generator for quick shoreline charging. Unless you like riding less than an hour a day.
