There was over 30 riders on Saturday with nice waves and Sunday was kind of a bust/raining. They managed to raise quite a bit of money for Joe. The French aren't that bad after all!!!!

I have some pics sent from the gang in France....sorry for the slow response - I've spent the day trying to work while beating the bushes here with joe's mom in Sacramento to get new rehab in place for him.

Here's the message that came along with it:

Hi Lisa,

We did a good event this week end for Joe, very well organized by Gil and PJ.
big party, big surfs but unfortunately the weather was too bad on sunday we were about 30 riders in the water (enclosed some amateur pics). They sold a bunch of ticket to raise fund for Joe.

thanks
friendly

Pierre

Jetwife and I made the trip over to Hossegor, France to this event.
What a fantastic welcome we received.
Despite the bad weather 25-30 pilots and friends/family attended.
Great party Saturday night (through to 8am Sunday for some)
Dj spinning great tunes, Freeloaders on big and small screens throughout the bar also decorated with images of Joe. Joes Ski centre stage, lots of fun!

Superb on water action Sunday,
Everyone braved some very cold, wet and windy conditions (shortly after the ride 70mph winds were buffeting the venue) for a very well organised event.

Great return visit to the bar Sunday, Excellent raffle/tombola prizes, my French is not good but the speeches made were well received.

What impressed me the most was the variety of riders/machines that turned up with the sole aim to jump some waves and support Joe!

I think I would be speaking for everyone in saying a big thanks to those who supported this event.
Hopefully not missing anyone, that includes...

The pilots and their friends/families

Apologies for the quality of the action shots, we were up against it with the weather but I hope you get an idea of the good time that was had by all.

Thank You
