Here's my response to another 10mm stroker engine question. Your engine builder should know what works for his engine package.

The porting, compression ratio, pipe setup, carbs brand, size and jetting, what ignition are you running MSD Enhancer or MSD Total Loss, and how much initial timing, and how your setting up the ski for flatwater or surf riding all play a BIG role as to what pump size and impeller pitch that's matched to the engine power and torque curve.
We run many different combination's to achieve the results we want for the application.

Do you know the rest of the stuff Chucky asked for?

I am running a stock pump with (I think) a Hooker 14/18 impeller.

144mm up to 146mm pump size depending on how much HP your making off the bottom, more aggressive the porting=less bottom end=smaller pump to get spinning faster into the upper rpm where the porting works.

I'm planning a high hp Superjet for bouys; haven't decided on pump.

Basically stock 951, want speed more than grunt.

I'm leaning towards a 144 mag.

I assume a 148 isn't any better after 20mph.

But I'd bet a 148 would be the :):):):) for low end grunt :)
