I posted something similar earlier, but deleted it.
Remove the bottom of the bucket and put it over a hole and you can dispense with the litter.

Get rid of the litter & you have odor....much better technique than a hole. I do enough primitive camping & outdoor stuff to know.

Good point. You'd have to keep digging holes and moving the john to keep the odor away.
I've never used either method. I always dig a latrine and use a big log, rock, or stump for a seat.

EDIT: Knowing my luck, someone would take a picture of it. Someone got me taking a piss just over the dune at the LSFR. They thought it looked rather funny.:smile:

exactly, you never know who is watching with a camera. besides, who wants to hear people grunting. lol
okey:i have been to lake grapevine and they have a free primative public camping. you could not go any where with out running in to a pile. during the day the hispanics would flood the place and take a crap behind a rock down by the water. it was pretty disgusting, made me not like the primative camping as much. this should be way better since it is private.

Great. I'll be bringing my "crackhead" girl along for the trip then. She'll love it.
Although, I forgot....I won't be able to make it if it's the first weekend in June. I have to fly back to Iowa for my mom's surprise retirement party that weekend. I haven't been back in several years, so I can't miss that.:nono:
Hope it works out that the ride isn't that weekend, but if so.....I'm just outa luck.

Ozarks is on the 3rd weekend and that's already out for Penquin.

Kids allowed at all TX rides. We don't get that crazy, well, most of us . . . . . . well, some of . . . . . well, a few of us don't.
Naw, we really are fairly kid safe as long as you don't keep your kids in a bubble.

Hmm, I can't answer that. Skinnyman, does it actually have a name? If it's the one I'm thinking of, it's an old camping area that was mostly abandoned, I don't remember the story why, but they open it back up just for the races at Texoma. With the right connections, we are allowed to use it for special events as long as we aren't insane and clean up afterwards.
