temp of B pipe manifold???

My b pipe manifold has holes in it. Looks to be from casting. I pressure tested it and it leaks a good bit. I was thinking of using an epoxy but if the manifold does not get to hot I could sweat some solder into the holes and that way I could get a good seal. Does anyone know the temp??????

braze it or weld it

What brazing material should I use? I know brazing is hotter than soldering but don’t know what material would work best??

No way to weld it. It is in that crook were the two middle top bolts go and I have to leave room to still turn the bolts. At least with my skills.

I jbwelded one of my old kawi manifolds to clearance it for the yammy B headpipes, and it held fine for 3years of use. Good luck with Factory Pipe... they told me to go F off, when I tried to get them to help me with a cracked headpipe.

I called them and they said I would have to send it to them. Said they would be able to look at in week or so of getting it. They would give no advice over the phone. That would be a min of 3 week without my ski. I think I will fix it myself.

Was it ever bored? If so they will not even look at it. When I fixed mine I just JBWeld on the first layer to fill the hole. Let it harden overnight. Then I sanded that with 36grit to rough it up, along with the manifold around the jbweld. Cleaned the surface with acetone. Then layed down west systems thickend with 404 to completely cover the jbweld and some manifold. Then sanded that to the desired shape and painted it. I rode for 3 seasons with that manifold and never had an issue.

Post a pic, You must weld if you want to try for a permanent repair, Sometimes JB weld is a good fix to get back on the water for Sunday before tearing it down and trying for a more permanent job or just order a new one and replace it.
OR do as Shawn did!

First pic is the inside? Dont try the epoxy fix on the inside of the manifold. No way it will work for that. But if its just sealing up the water jacket on the outside it will work.

If it is indeed porosity, FP will probably replace it for you. They've been good about that in the past. Unlike MSD they don't need a receipt either, they know where it came from.

That's one of the worst castings I've seen in a while. Harbor Freight's quality control department would have thrown that out. Welding that is going to take some serious skill but mostly luck. If it were me I would buy another one and send that pile back to factory pipe and sell the replacement when they send it to you.

Here is how the inside of my headpipe was welded back to life. But I have to agree with cookerq, send it back. That thing is not worth the headache. I lost a ton of riding tring to get this defective headpipe problem figured out.

Not sure if it was bored. Does anyone know the original measurements of the ports?? It matches up to a 760 62t jug.
