I meant to build up this Squarenose into a ski for my wife, with a ported/piped 650, and pink. uke:
Unfortunately, I spent far too much time on my Roundnose instead.
So here we are, it's almost July, and this Square isn't ready for water yet.

Mind you, I got a ski to ride, and she is pregnant. It is nice to have a backup ski though, or one that company can ride.
Anyways, I decided to say fark it for the summer and just put it together as is.
The result - an ass-ugly ski if I've ever seen one. Boy, is she ugly.

I am using an FX1 pole, which gave me some issues. Also, an XMW bracket.

That carbon fiber rideplate came from an Octane - I made it fit the SJ (not very hard).
Motor is my 760 Frankenstein. Pretty much stock, other than lightened stock flywheel, a bit higher compression, and Full Spectrum 48.:biggthumpup:

Check out my weight-saving waterbox. Couldn't believe how heavy the stocker is.
I suspect this will be loud though. I wrapped in the 25mil underpad + turf that was my tray mat last year.

nice ski shack..mine makes yours look like a fully dialed work shop..at least you can walk around in yours..in mine you cant even walk a foot or two without tripping on some ski parts

You need to add some primer, duct tape and magic marker to even get through the door. Until than that ski belongs in Team Princess.

Man, your kids are so lucky to have such neat freaks like you guys as their fathers. Here's a picture of our garage so you can see what my dad has me up against.

Needless to say. I work in the driveway and use my own tools. He knows where his are, but god forbid he can obtain them.

There's like 6 tents in that pile. None of them are complete and we couldn't find one if we wanted it. He says we need them incase we go camping. It's $100 for a new tent in a small package AND WE DON'T EVEN GO CAMPING!!!! :banghead:

We have a 6x12 enclosed trailer that we bought to carry the Quads in and camp in. It looks like this garage. :frown:

Pfffft......there's plenty of rattlecan primer on there. I've got jetting number and phone numbers written with sharpie on the bottom of the hull.
Duct tape...yes, it's there. Glassed in, even. When I glassed in the nosepiece, I had to hold it down a bit with ductape. It's now part of the package! :biggthumpup:
(As are a couple of blue shop towels that I used to hold the expanding foam back with - now incorporated into the nose piece foam. :biggthumpup:

Ya, it makes me very angry too. It was pretty clean when my couch was in it. I agreed to let the couch come out so we could use the garage as a work shop, the agreement being that it doesn't get filled with crap. The ski is outside and now look at it.
