Uh, something is really wrong with your reasoning.

OK, you say your Goose Pole is 7 lbs or so. And the OEM is 30 lbs.

Yet, you come back and say that is with the pole bracket, Pivot bolt, steering, bars. So, lets compare apples to apples. Add the pole bracket, Pivot Bolt, Steering, and Bars to the Goose Pole also.

Credibility. When you say something, have the facts to back it up. If you spout off stuff and qualify your comment with "I dont really know", then your Credibility just got tossed out the window.

You like the Goose Pole. Great. People say it is strong, dont think one person has said is was not strong. Goose even stated that it was not the best looking part. He builds them to be functional. That black one looks like it has had the welds ground and then painted or powdercoated. His other parts may work, but the fit and finish has alot to be desired. If your going to build, manufacture and sell something. It needs to look like a top shelf product unless you openly state that the manufacturing process is based on function over form. That being the case, if his poles are fugly as hell but work, and the gig he uses to build them up is straight then there is no issues. But one of the problems here is that there are several that the pivot bolt area and the main body is crooked causing the poles to not sit down the center of the hood. AC Poles have this same issue with some of them.

My goose 'pole kit' in the packaging was only 8 or 9 lbs. that includes steering and everything

That should make my credibilty better because unlike MANY people on here I dont say something as a total fact if I dont 100 percent know

This thread can pretty well be summed up as this:

If you aren't dumping at least 15k into your ski on RRP poles, specific brand hulls and huge stroker motors...then you will get told your ski is junk...the parts you used are junk.. Looks like I will never be part of the elite here..

I do have over 10k in my ski and a BB stroker motor from a big mane builder and STILL really like my Goose pole

goose pole weighs 7lbs including steering, bars, chinpad and bracket. stocker weighs almost 30 (not sure actual weight) plus the chin pad gets water logged.

Is that a fact???:shhh:

You say you dont make a statement unless its true correct? So what is the actually weight of a stock RN pole?

That is why IN that statment I said I wasnt 100% sure the exact weight. The pole I took off my ski weighed a crapload. And the Goose pole is unbelivably light period.
