looking at adding one to the fleet, and for the sons first boat.

is one worth $400 if it runs?
did they all have 650 engines from kawasaki, or where there ever smaller engines in them?

anything particular to look out for?

thanks!

650 only, good choice. I buy them all day long for under 500 unless they are totally beat.

Buy it NOW!!!! If you don't then give me his number and I'll but it for my wife :sneaky:

The X2 is IMHO the perfect boat for your son's first boat, not too much power to start with, it has a small seat so someone small can cruise on it a bit and it's unstable enough that you have to learn to ride it before you can go off tearin' around.

That's a GREAT DEAL if it runs, heck even if it doesn't run and the hull and some of the parts are good then it's not that bad of a buy.

Buy that bad boy. How old is your son? I started mine out at 8 years old on a Kawi 650 SX. Two years later he was on a Kawi 750 and now at 14 he is riding a Xjet with a GP800 motor. My point here is that watch out it grows on you and the next thing you know he will ask you for more power. That only means more money. Have fun they are only young once and it is only money. It makes great memories.

He is 9, and he has been riding our superjets for a couple of years now.

No deal though, the X2 doesnt run.

its a good deal for some one though, an x2, a 550, and a tigershark, all for $1000

in Tulsa OK.

pm me for the guys info.

Idok here...

mouth....why not keep your eyes out for another square this winter??? there are boats going to be popping up left and right before you know it..im sure there'll be a handful in the 4-800$ range..CHEAP!

if he can ride, and likes the SJ..then the power of the x2 will be disappointing after not too long.....

personally, I like all my boats to run the same motor/electrics......makes things that much simpler....

granted, you cant go wrong with a running ski for a hundred bux......

right you are moto/idok whoever.

I bought the current pair of superjets for $300 or so each, seperatly though.
im waiting for another one of those.

my square has a pipe and a head, and msd, still 650 though, he sure isnt afraid of it, I beleive you are right about him getting bored quickly with less of a machine.

I might buy me or the wife a cheap roundie, too, that would solve the problem as well.

or a B1 maybe??? (i didnt just say that :noevil: )

from the x2 experience I have had....Ewok had one, motosurfer had one.......both of them liked to be allergic to the water.....

they woudl fire up 100 times in a row at home...run great on the trailer, and rip in the ocean...WHEN they would start........

06 has been the first kawi free year in our crew............:beerchug:

My X2 does the same thing. . . lol. I'd rather have the X2 than a B1 I think though

Idok, my X2 is only allergic to saltwater...but that's the best place to ride it!

Mouth, sorry to hear the X2 wasn't in good enough condition for your lil guy. Even with a ported 701 with bpipe and all kinds of other junk on my sj, I can still have a blast on my mostly stock X2. I am always watching out for a 750 for hubby to throw in there though.

Your kid rocks hard. He ought to have an X2.

My 7 year old can ride a standup but cant get the balance of the X2...he gave up trying for now, thats cool.....

MORE TIME FOR DAD.LOL

My 10 yr old can ride a standup and balance an x2 with no problem, but she's too afraid to ride because she *almost* *came close* to getting too close to shore once. Now she's too spooked to try again. Sux for her. :frown:
