Super Jet tank vent

where is every one running & routing tank vent when not using oem water trap and not running up thru pole i was just going to run in engine compartment and tuck behind exhaust hose but wondering if it would keep water out any pics thanks

I just attach mine to a 2-3" hose and leave it sticking up.

and you dont pick up water that way like when theres water in hull and your ski flips up side down ? maybe put a 180 bend hose on top of valve like the sit downs use on the oil tanks

I do the same, it is a one way valve. I wont flow water in if it doesnt leak...

Does anyone use epoxy to mount the stock water trap in their aftermarket hull ?

You could but may it may come loose after a while....I rivit brackets for all my fixed compnents.

I dont use a water trap. Ive got the vent hose wraped 5 or 6 times in a tight circle (like a spool of wire) Seems to work good till I swamp it then it always gets water in the fuel... Would putting a stock trap in stop this?

I run the stock trap and drilled a tiny hole in the drain cap to prevent water build up...works good.

if your talking about the hole engine compartment get full of water then no but just getting water in you motor then yes the water trap does work

I have no problems at all with the wound up line. Its only when the damn hood used to come off and I would swamp the hull and motor.
