Tampa bay area engine builders??

Yeah......I don't think your primer line caused that lean condition and blew your motor....You might want to figure out the real reason.

I also would suggest Team Scream.

Yes i just moved down here from Wisconsin so the ski did sit for 6-7 months prior to it being run yesterday.....then blowing! I did winterize it proper tough and have never had a problem with them sitting for the winter.

I did rejet the carb over the winter with

120 low jet
140 main jet
2.0 needle/seat

I jet my FX-1 the same way and it ran great yesterday!

Prior to it blowing I drove it around and it would die once and a while after I would open it up and then let off the throttle.......sorta bog down then die..........which I assume is a result of the leak in fuel line.

How much to have the crank rebuilt and new top end installed?? just a estimate will suffice........just need a idea of what I am looking at??

So you re-jetted? Did you read the plugs to check your tune? I'm guessing that you just simply ran it lean. Your bogging definitely points to that.

the plugs show a nice brown and I had the High speed screw at about 2 turns out and the low speed screw at about 1-1/4 turn out........if anything I think I should have been running rich.

Prior to blowing the compression was at 160 and 166 psi

I took the carb apart and everything seems fine besides the "round pump diaphragm" thing on the needle/seat side of carb.

Can a defective pump diaphragm cause the engine to run lean??

I have insurance on my jetski thru progressive.........do insurance companies typically cover blown motors??? my buddy blew the motor in his Jet Boat and his insurance covered it.....that is why I ask??

Progressive has pretty good PWC coverage so give em a call and see if they will cover it... I did alot of motorwork for insurance companies when I worked at a dealer.

Some policies cover everything like full coverage on an auto... A lot of policies are liability only that covers just you damaging somebody's stuff or somebody!

Just give em a call the worst they can say is no

I would say no on both.

if you don't know what you're looking for you might make it impossible for a mechanic to diagnose what went wrong with your ski.

That bogging down and dying is engine seizure. Don't cut corners on the rebuild. Anyone can take something apart. Putting it back together correctly so it doesn't happen again is key. Take it to a pro.
