SXR trim tube install tips

I'm going to be installing a trim system on my SXR. I'm feeling a little intimidated by it. What are some pointers so I don't screw it up.

Are you using all the water lines that head into the pump?
You may coulld use the dump line as your trim tube.
Or your OEM Bilge Tube.

Or just drill a new hole and install a new tube. Its easy. Why you putting trim on there?

The oem bilge is on the wrong side no? I'm using both water lines. One for the engine and one for the pipe.
I bought a Solas pump and it comes with the trim set up. It's was only like $17 more for the cable and lever so I said what the hell.

Go to Lowes and get a long drillbit of the same size tube. (In the wiring section). Eyeball where it is going in and where you want it to come out in the engine bay. It is easy.

I stick a rod into the existing tube , and let it stick out in back , next to the new line I will be drilling, this helps me get angle and direction correct by holding the drill parallel to the Rod.....
its simple and fairly accurate . Try to drill the hole as snug as possible to the new tube OD .
Roughen the stainless tube up with sandpaper at both entry points and seal with 5200 .
