Ok, got the cover off. Now, how DO i get those wires out of the cover, or get the cover out so I can work on it? Also, do i have to grind the inside face of the cover? Ive heard that the plate sticks out further and hits the cover.

Your going to have to grind the locating bosses off the pick up.
Remove the flywheel cover assembly from the boat, There 2 bolts on the electrical box, take them out and unplug the connection (thats where the wires go.)

when we got our 04's, at the time, Nobody could possitively gurantee that the jumper would work, so, we had the plates put on....... (only thing that I ever had a dealer install, but a friend who brought them too us, was the same guy that prepped the ski's, so had him do them...) otherwise, I would have used the jumper, but I think we are getting a little more advance with the PJS Plates.
