Well last weekend on my way back to the ramp. My 03 limited sxr started to bogg. Pulled it out and started to flush and it ranaway. No real bad but you could hear rpms building faster and faster. Still did a quick flush.
So today I started to look for the problem. While testing running it, I saw the front carb sucking fuel. So, I pulled the carbs. I think maybe a stuck needle.
I loook at the intake manifols and can see light through it. Nice hole with a good size crack. This is a stock manifold which has been ported for vforce2 reeds. Check it.
Boat is now back together using a stock manifold & reeds.

I think the manifold cracked do to heavy use. Tim at Z force removed a lot of material to port the manifold for the vforce2 reeds. I have about 40hrs on it.
I'm pretty sure the peice blew out the bottom. The reeds show no signs of anything being sucked in. I also turned the motor over by hand and heard no stange noises. The boat is now back up and running and sounds good. Time will tell. I'm just real happy to have it running for this weekend now that my stocker is down.
