SXR Problems

Just installed a FP pipe on 07 sxr 800 , also did FP carb jetting on stock carbs to FP settings
Ski now bogs big time in and out of water
idles smooth, after 1/4 throttle its like BURRRRRRRRRR lots of smoke
has 150/150 compression, good gas, reeds are fine no air leaks
has nasty oily water comin out rear exhaust

did you pull trumpets out of the airbox ?

Don't qoute me on this but if I remember correctly the low speed from factory pipe is too rich. I think theirs said 1 turn out. Mine is at 7/8 out and still a little rich. FP with choke.

and don't even try to tune the pipe until you get carbs cleaned up. The one I did was pretty close. also fill the heat sensor plug with silicone or remove it from the exhaust and plug it back in and zip tie it up somewhere. it seemed like it was water ingesting and someone on here was nice enough to point out that as my problem.

sounds like one of your needles may be stuck open, remove carbs and check needle and seat, make sure you got it put back correctly.
