I landed pretty hard on my exhaust and busted the aluminum collar that holds the black nozzle to the hull. it still holds it on but not for long. Blowsion sells a nice ring to replace it- but I can't get the thing out of the hull. Before I go and break it into a million pieces can someone tell me if it stays and their part fits over it like the black plastic thing or if it does come completely out what am I missing? I took the allens out. so I can't see anything else holding it in cept maybe a ton of corrosion?

it may look like 3 bolts but its not. hard to explain but my buddy put the TBM flange on his 07 or 08 not sure which but it was a major pain. i forget what part its glued to the exhaust tube. you have to pull it out far enought to cut it and then put the new one in. not sure what blowsions looks like. just going by what i saw when they put his on. i was just watching and looking pretty. check TBM's site for install direction maybe that can help you. PM gidge768 on pwc he is the one that did the flange might be able to help you out also

good luck. if it were me after seeing how much trouble they went through to put the new flange on i would just come up with a way to make the stock one "stick" again

easy.remove the 3 allen bolts, remove rubber part, take chisel and cut rivet that pokes into exhaust tube.make sure to cut it flush and then try to grind it down below the surface with a dremel or similar.
heat up the alloy flange from within the id and pry gently away from hull with flat bar or large screwdriver.don't damage the hull.
takes but a few minutes.

Yep the the rivet will getcha. Kawi really glued it up nice too. Kill the rivet, remove the bolts, heat the piss out of it and pull it out.

there's only one rivet head visible at the 6 o'clock position in the pipe after you've removed the rubber flange.
just grind it out.
