KMAC had that happen to his SXR at a race 2 years ago....
What brand head do you have on your SXR? I may have some helpful info as to your crank issues.

Run about 32:1 and don't use a stock cylinder, bore it and put in the next size as the stock setup has too much piston to wall clearance.
I use a ADA girdled head, the ADA studs are fine, it's the oem ones in the centre that I keep breaking, about 5 in the last year

Im running a milled stock head and have had no issues. I beat the piss out of my motor too.

Changed the centre bolts to stainless cap-screws and have had no problem since
