SXR Sxr 800 engine removal

Hey guys just got my self a used 08 sxr everything is working well on it, but the block has some saltwater corrosion on it and i wanted to remove the hole motor and sand it down and give it a nice re paint, I have never removed one of these motor can anyone give me any tips or any good links to removal and what will be needed ie any special tools.
 
12mm socket, is pretty much all you need make sure u disconnect the stator before u pull it. your able todo it iwth the exhaust on it and the gas tank in atleast thats how i just did mine.

They come right out...just follow everything coming out of the motor and take it off...carbs and pipe should be able to stay attached...

Disconnect battery cables and red starter wire coming from electrical box.
Disconnect all both fuel lines and two cables up front.
Disconnect water lines. (Including water intake line coming from back of ski)
Disconnect wire going into electrical box. (two 10mm bolts on top of box) then unplug.
Disconnect exhaust coupler.
Pull the four bolts holding the motor down.

Slide the motor forward a little...put a towel on the side of your ski to protect it and lift it out by the pipe and manifold under the carbs.

Should take about 45 minutes the first time.

Turn it upside down and start shaking. Eventually the mounts will give. Then it's just the red starter wire and you're good to go.

I am pulling my 800 motor and nevrr done it before. I googled go see if there is anything unique to look out for and found this thread

Ya it's my very old thread I did the same like you tried to find something in google and got someone els thread, it's easy like everyone els says just kinda all flows together when u start taking it apart.
