SX/SXi/SXi Pro Sxi carb jet size with factory pipe

Hey all, I have a 96 Sxi big pin with the stock mikuni 38 I bodies and a factory pipe.

Factory pipe recommends main and pilot jets for this year at
Main 147.5 and pilot 75. (what they identify as stock)

To my knowledge the jets in my carbs were stock and are actually 147.5 main and 62.5 pilot.

Regardless. I am getting heavy bogging in the low end. almost to the point of stalling.

She idles well in and out of water and sounds great on the hose but in the water she wont rev past a certain point without choking and dying.

I have since put in 75 pilot jets and she still runs well on the trailer but havent gotten to try in the water yet.

So the question is..... what r u guys running as far as jet sizes in ur twin carb sxi's with just a pipe.

Stock was 67.5 pilot and 147.5 for the dual mikunis.
For whatever reason the shop manual or the parts fiche doesnt show needle/seat and spring sizes.
It does however say the low speed adjuster should be at a ½ turn open, ±¼ turn and the high speed adjuster should be at 1 turn open ±¼ turn.
It sounds as if you could have a leaky needle seat assembly, or the pop off could be too low.
