SXI 750--does anyone still race one of these?

I am just checking to see if anyone still races the older sxi 750's?
my 12 year old daughter want to use it for an entry level race ski to see if she is going to like racing or not,

you can definitely run one at some local races to see if you/her will enjoy it, but no one uses them competitively on the national tour or at Finals for the same reason you wouldnt line up at a supercross stop on a 01 yz250

They handle just fine, and at her age and weight, they may actually be better.

The blowsion tubbie IIs are awesome on the SXi Pro, and some hull extensions may help keep the nose down ( they do for me, but I am sure I out weight your 12 year old by quite a bit)

Look for a Skat-trak intake grate, stock SXi Pro or SXR ride plate will probably be fine for her, especially if you do the hull extensions.

op is talking sxi.not sxi pro which is a major step ahead in handling.
sxi can be made to handle with the usual bolt ons and the most aggresive grate you can find but still not an sxr so expect to be smoked in turns.

I have the r&d grate an ocean pro ride plate and ijsba rules say I can have 4 sponsons, so tubbies up front and skegs in back,

That intake grate is no good. I would really try to get the skat grate if you can. I know some of the ride plates don't swap to all the 750 models, but the intake grates do.

May also consider some hull extensions if she can't keep it from bouncing around. Hull extensions were the only thing I found that finally got rid of that.

all sx,sxi use same plates and grates
sxi pro and sxr share common plate bolt pattern
sxi pro has specific grate
sxr has specific grate.
seeing how light she is,the most aggressive grate would be best.ditto for plate.
