SX-R Waterbox??

anybody tried any aftermarket waterboxes for the 800 sx-r. if so what? and what kind of gains am i looking at. currently running factory wet, jsu head, chambers and carbon reeds under the hood.
any info is appreciated, i figured since the whole engine is out, i might as well make the modification now:biggthumpup:

I don't think the waterbox will do much except make it louder.

I'm calling TDR tomorrow.

there has to be some gain? the gain might just be minimal.
make sure to post what you find out from TDR tommorrow, i'd be intrested to hear what they say:biggthumpup:

You can deffinetly save some weight with a aftermarket WB. It will be louder, and probably piss some people off.

Does Pat, x-metal make one for a sxr? If I had to I would make the SJ one work. It sounds good on my SJ, and its super light.

TDR makes two: the baffled one and the powerspray.

The baffled one has less baffling than stock and is purported to emit a lower, growlier tone.

The power spray version is a hollow aluminum box with a jet spray of water at the exit that deadens the sound. It is said to be MUCH louder and on the border of offensively so.

They should both bolt right in.

Tony wasn't in and this came from the guy at the shop. Tony will call me back tomorrow.

They are made to order if out of stock. (obviously)
