I noticed this weekend that there are three screws on the water box ( at least I think it's the water box , it's right by the electrical box in the back part) What are these for???

there are no screws in a stock water box. there is a L shaped braket on the top of the box, to hold it in the hull.

I have a waterbox from a 750 that I had believed to be stock and it has large philips head screws on it also. no pic right now though.

The '93 had a fiberlass box (white) that had no "screws". The 94's and newer had a metal WB and it did have three screws?? I never new why and didn't mess with them. Probably a casting holer or something? Maybe they were going to inject water in it??
I don't have any pics at the moment ( it's at my beach house, about 3 hours away) maybe next weekend.
But anyway, it's a Metal waterbox, with three screws ( looks like alen heads, but the rust has dominated them. Have to take a better look) running vertically at the exit side.

these guys are correct. you have the newer SXi alum box.
your 93 came with a fiberglass box originally.
