You should see a viscous and immediate hit off the bottom!

Super crisp and snappy! Dont expect the smooth, electric motor like feel of stockers though...........

He is using a single and he isn't switching from stockers, he is switching from a single 46.

Goodluck Chris. Can't wait to ride with you and Adam again

I switched one of my motors from a single 48 Full Spectrum to a single Mikuni SBN46 - so the opposite of what you're talking about.

Not much difference between the two, if any. Just my experience with my particular setup.

I switched from dual SBN 46s to dual Full Spec 48s and I was impressed with the crispness and improved response throughout the powerband. You should see improvement if you jet it correctly for your setup. :fingersx:

My experience was with a dual 48 set up from a stock dual 38 set up.........All the difference in the world on my boat. Hardest hitting carbs I have ever ridden. I have run Novis, SBNs, Buckshots,etc..................

Ed himself said they will never be as smooth as a SBN (or stocker), but will hit harder and snappier.

I think you will be pleased, but thats just my opinion.

Kennay, a single 46 SBN may be slighty larger, but is essentially a stock type carb. Although the butterfly is slightly larger, the circuity and metering characteristics are the same. Full specs are designed to hit off the bottom harder and carburate cleaner.

I know whats on his ski, as I have ridden it. I also know how my Full specs hit, as I have ridden them.

Mine was jetted per Brazina's personal instructions. :fingersx:

Ed made them and tuned them to be run in pairs. How do the singles work?
Ed will tell you to run duals. But, if you ask him, he will give you specs for a single application.

That is great and all, but I am voting for not as dramatic of a change as you described above.

agreed. I had to use a 46 while waiting on my full spec 49 single. Don't get me wrong, I love the full spec, but it's not a lightswitch difference. You'll notice it and like it, but don't expect anything tremendous.

You may very well be right.............it will be interesting to see.

On MY boat, the difference was ALL in the hit on the bottom. There was little power gain (if there was I couldnt tell), but the response and hit was like a new ski!

Maybe the single platforms are less sensitive. Im sure Chris will let us know how it works out for his combo!

That's pretty much what I was trying to say.
Yes, a difference, but certainly not dramatic.
