A guy called me up wanting me to fix his XLT1200.
I ask what's wrong with it.
I get (in spanglish) "The engine is broken".

Okay.

So here's what he brings over.

The kicker is he bought it this way, knowingly. I hope he got a good deal. The OEM head and exhaust is missing.

I was going to ask the same thing.

And yes, the engine is actually broken.

That's OK.
I have 2 new OEM cranks, mint set of cases, 2 stock heads, I set of riva heads, 2 complete stock pipes,............................................................

If only I could get my money back from all my couch stuff, would be enough for a nice hull. :17:

I am going to try for an SBT replacement.
The extra core charges might be excessive though.

Did that already. Waiting to hear back from them tomorrow.

Those engines were garbage when they were new and they did not age well, you are lucky he brought it to you disassembled, boy are you in for a treat when you get to put it back together!:scratchchin:

It was sort of disassembled. The head and exhaust were off & missing, and that cylinder was taken off.
That's pretty much it, I did the rest.

On that note, it was a real PITA to lift that engine out of there. I might need a lift to put her back in.
