its not an issue of heat. Its that the pipe shape and sizes and lengths were designed for metal, not carbon, the same shape in a different material doesnt yield the same results. The properties are way too different.
 
From what I've heard and seen, it appears that the *Dry Carbon* chambers that the Japaneese use for competition are working pretty well for about 10min. until the carbon heats up and the sonic wave starts to get lost, at that point HP starts to decrease, it seems from pics I've seen that the Japanees use standard aluminum chambers in their practice skis when ride time lasts longer than a 2min routine.
